Welcome.....A Little Bit About Me and My Blog

I don't mean for my blog title to sound depressing-- but that's exactly how I would describe myself. JADED. Cynical and weary. But in a good way. This is what life experience has taught me.

I have a blog!!! Finally. After about a year of contemplating and several attempts to start one, I have now resolved to stick with it. And I admit that I was inspired by one great blogger, Brian Gorrell. In proceeding posts, I will explain why this is so but in the meantime I will not get into the gory details -- if you don't know him and what he's all about, go search for and read his blog.

Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself and in doing so I'm sure you will pick up bits and pieces of what I would like to write about in future posts, and hopefully you'll come back and we'll have a bit of a banter. In the meantime, forgive me as I freestyle...

I was born and bred in Manila, Philippines. Certainly a brown and proud pinay. I have been living in London, England for many years now, with my 10 year old son and my British boyfriend of nearly 5 years. I miss and love the Philippines, but a lot of times I find a lot of things about it loathsome (I assure you that I will talk about this in length in the future!). The Philippines is my comfort zone, but I do consider London my home for now.

I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment, as I have been off work for a couple of weeks following a back injury and perhaps this is what finally pushed me to start my blog. I have to warn you that I am on major pain killers and diazepam that make me all woozy!
